Audio Selectors 8/16 stereo balanced inputs to dual stereo balanced outputs Altair introduces tho new “Audio Selector Series”, consisting of 2 different models with 16 or 8 balanced stereo inputs and 2 parallelled balanced stereo outputs. Due to the huge number of I/O, connections are made by PHOENIX (TM) type terminal blocks. “AS” Audio Selectors were designed under broadcasting specifications, with a removable front panel unit that allows separate installation of the main unit and the front panel for a more convenient use. Volume and Balance controls by rotary encoder and position indicators, allow precise and repeatable adjustments and other actions such as individual input TRIM and instant memory recall after starting the unit. Channel selection and MUTE functions are made under a proprietary fade in/out technique reducing notably all type of switching artefacts in order to obtain a clean channel transition or a progressive muting.
